Personaggio del mese
Simona Michelotti - La signora dell’industria sammarinese

Neanch’io so più ormai come definirla”.

"Flexible packaging" - Full speed ahead

SIT of San Marino has become a group, and has clearly set out its organization and objectives. The operation, officialised at the end of 2007, is relaunching one of the most important concerns in tghe field of print converting, while demonstrating how entrepreneurship with intelligence and verve is still possible.
SIT, Sarel Plast, SIT Italia: these are the companies that today comprise the SIT Group, leading concern in the italian and international flexible packaging printing and converting world. One could say that the outgoing commitment made whit determination in over 40 years by the ownership (the Michelotti family) has led to the creation of an organization model based on delegating and partecipation that, aiming at efficienty and service, makes the difference on the market. ... As SImona Michelotti, sole managing director and longstanding driving spirit of the concern points out - In SIT we have understood that it was no longer enought to create a product of impeccable quality, but that we also needed to give speedy, timely responses to user demands for ever shorter runs with ever closer delivery times. In other terms, we have never stopped thinking we are capable of "doing better" - ... SIT has been the linchpin in an extraordinary industrial growth. The purchase of two complementary concerns, between 2005 and 2006, has in fact enabled the San Marino based organization to grow in terms of size, technology and specialisation. ... These two buy-ups - Simona Michelotti explains - radically increased our overall number of employees, that now stands at 260 units. ... Indeed it was this buy-up, full of unknow quantities from the point of view of union relations, that confirmed one of the strongpoints of SIT: the capacity to stimulate a loyal spirit of cooperation. "If many enterpreneurs and heads agree that human resources take on a central role, we have actually put this into practise adds Simona's daughter and head of human resources Neni Rossini, and hence it is not a chance that the SIT employees appreciate the commitment fielded in guaranteeing stable, safe, humanly stimulating work conditions." ... "In attributing the various functions of the new organigram - Simona Michelotti states - the discriminanting factor has been the skill demonstrated in the field and passion of the individuals, nothing else. ... What is more, I remain faithful to a single principle: in an activity as socially important as entrepreneurship, the roles in charge have to be left to those prepared to capabilities, to those prepared to stake their reputation, day in day out, putting themselves on the line."
